From Blessings to Breakup: LibMuzik and SIO End Partnership

Monrovia, Liberia – April 8, 2025 – LibMuzik Records has officially confirmed the end of its partnership with rising Liberian recording artist S.I.O, citing “differences in creative vision” as the reason for the separation. The announcement also means that the highly publicized L$25 million Liberian Dollar recording deal will no longer proceed.

In a statement released by the label, LibMuzik expressed best wishes to S.I.O, applauding his talent and achievements, particularly the success of his debut single “Blessings,” which broke streaming records with over 1 million streams in under 10 days.

LibMuzik CEO Al Johnson reflected positively on their work together, stating, “We’re proud of what we accomplished together in a short time. I wish him—and all those supporting his journey—continued success in managing his career.”

During their brief collaboration, LibMuzik played a leading role in S.I.O’s branding, marketing, distribution, visual design, and national promotional efforts. These efforts included a press tour, live performances, and digital campaigns that collectively garnered over 250,000 live views and more than 1 million online impressions.

While the deal has come to an end, LibMuzik reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Liberian talent and strengthening the country’s creative industry.
